How it works

1. Pick photos and clips. Choose from your library. Pressbook proposes the keepers from your selection, on-device, and video clips are welcome in any panel.
2. Start from a live preview. Layout browsing opens on the real thing: swipe the panels, switch size or count, heart the layouts worth keeping. The preview is the page.
3. Export for the feed. A numbered, sliced image set ready to post in order, or one MP4 with sound and HDR kept. Rendered on your device, so the preview is the file.

One canvas, not ten squares

Most carousel tools give you ten separate slots, and it shows: the eye stops at every cut. Pressbook lays the whole carousel out on a single wide canvas, so a photo can run across three panels, a headline can bridge two, and a video can sit mid-stream while stills flank it. On export, each panel is sliced at exactly the cut you saw, so the swipe reassembles the canvas in your reader’s thumb.

Tap any panel to focus it, give it its own layout, or add one more. Ten is the ceiling because that is Instagram’s.

What sizes fit Instagram?

Square (1:1) and portrait (4:5), the two formats Instagram serves without cropping. Pick one when you start; every panel follows it.

Can panels hold video?

Yes. Drop a clip into any panel, trim it, mix its audio, and run it through the same filters as your photos. Export as one MP4 with sound and HDR kept, or post the sliced set and let the clip’s panel carry the motion.

Do exports have a watermark?

The free tier adds a small Pressbook watermark and exports at screen resolution. Pro removes the watermark and unlocks high-quality video export.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for, and no server your photos could be uploaded to. The app works in airplane mode.

Can I change one panel after picking a layout?

Yes. Tap a panel to focus it, swap its layout, add or remove a panel, and the rest of the canvas reflows around your change.
