Graycard: cull the shoot, grade the color
Graycard is a Mac app for photographers. Open a card or a folder of RAW, JPEG, or HEIF. Graycard flags the frames you would reject, grades the color on the ones you keep, and writes proofs to a folder you choose. Files are read in place: nothing is copied into a library, and nothing is uploaded.
What it does
- Open a shoot in place. RAW from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, OM System, Panasonic, Pentax, Samsung, Leica, Hasselblad, and Phase One, plus DNG. A JPEG or HEIF shot beside a RAW folds into that RAW.
- Auto-cull. Four checks: blur, closed eyes, bad exposure, and burst duplicates. Flags are suggestions. Nothing is deleted.
- Grade. On-device Core Image auto-enhance. On a RAW file, temperature and tint when you disagree. Hold Space to see the camera file.
- Wedding looks. Twelve looks, from true to color and light and airy to film and black and white, each previewed on your frame with its own strength.
- Match a set. Copy Look carries one photo onto the selection. Export can lock one white balance for a run, then Auto sets the tone.
- Deliver. ICC-tagged JPEG by default. 16-bit TIFF only if you turn it on in Settings. An XMP sidecar beside the proof carries ratings, labels, and white balance. GPS, shot date, camera, and IPTC are kept. MakerNote is dropped. Originals stay unchanged.
Privacy
Photos are not uploaded. There is no account. The network is used for Mac App Store purchases and, only if you turn it on in Settings, anonymized analytics sent to PostHog in the EU. Graycard privacy policy · Graycard terms · Apple’s standard EULA.

Graycard is free to download, and every tool is free. The first 80 unique proofs are free. Graycard Pro lifts that limit: $9.99 a month, $29.99 a year, or $59.99 once. Prices are in USD, and the Mac App Store shows yours before you buy. Subscriptions renew until you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Family Sharing is included.
